According to a report from the New York Post, Chrissy Teigen took to her Instagram on Thursday evening to share an image of her new tattoo which featured several small numbers on the inner portion of her forearm.

The three-piece slideshow she posted on the ‘Gram showed off three sets of numbers, meant, presumably, to express the birthdays of her family members, including Miles, Luna, and her husband, John Legend. For the most part, social media was elated by the tattoos.

The comedian, David Spade, wrote on her picture, “I use these lotto numbers, too, small world.” Among other stars to comment on it were the journalist, Yashar Ali, who stated, “Oh my god, wait, I love this.” As for others, however, they were less pleased with the tatts.

The Nazi’s used a numbering system to label inmates in their concentration camps that led to the deaths of millions, and some fans called attention to this fact. One person wrote on her social media page that it had “really strong Holocaust vibes.”

Some people on the social platform asked the supermodel if she was aware of the similarities between the tattoos she got on her body and the numbering system employed by the Nazis during the Second World War.

Another person stated on the ‘Gram that even though her intentions were pure, there are probably some Jewish people who would take offense to the tatts. Reportedly, the tattoo was done by the artist, Daniel Winter, who has worked with other people including Hillary Duff, Miley Cyrus, as well as Busy Philipps.

Earlier this week, another celebrity was taken to task for their tattoos, however, by the artist who did them. It was reported yesterday by Todd Malm that Ed Sheeran’s tattoo artist, Kevin Paul, was displeased with the work he had done on Ed because of the negative publicity he received.

Kevin stated that a few of the singer’s tattoos were done by a friend of Ed’s manager, and Kevin just ends up taking the blame for them.
