In tonight’s FBI episode, the victim’s name is Charlotte Kincade. She’s missing and it suspected she was abducted. Her husband Alex came home from a business trip to find the house in disarray with no signs of Charlotte. There was also blood found at the scene. But there’s another, more important, reason why the FBI believes she might have been taken. She was rich. She is a mining heiress.
Her parents died when she was young leaving her their full fortune and she has never had to work a day in her life. Her husband also comes from wealth. He doesn’t have a record and there’s no reason to suspect he could be involved with this kidnapping. Alex also wanted to pay the ransom. Everyone believed Charlotte was taken in the hopes of a ransom and so Alex wanted pay it. He didn’t want to play games with the man holding his wife’s life in his hands.
Or so he claimed. Alex’s alibi on further inspection was shaky. He was gambling and that seemed to be a theme for him. Alex has been running up hundreds of thousands in debt. He was also losing money at his job as a stockbroker. The FBI found out that Alex stopped gambling by a certain point and that meant they couldn’t track his movements from then to when he returned to the house.
The casino was three hours from his home. He could easily have driven back and either arrange or perhaps take part in his wife’s kidnapping. She was the wealthier of the two. It was also highly suspicious when Alex turned down the FBI’s help. He wanted to make the ransom drop on his own and he didn’t want the FBI involved in any way.
The FBI couldn’t just sit it out. They had to be involved since becoming aware that Charlotte was missing and so they followed Alex when he left his house. They followed him when he met up with Jamie Barker. Both were arrested and brought in for questioning.
It turns out that Alex has been having an affair. He’s been sleeping with Jamie and he was with her the whole night his wife disappeared. Its why his alibi was shaky. He was lying. He was sleeping with another woman and he didn’t realize how important his wife was to him until she disappeared. Alex has since broken things off with his mistress. Its why he was meeting up with her and she doesn’t care. Jamie is married.
Jamie is in an open marriage. She doesn’t care that Alex doesn’t love her because she has a husband who does his own cheating and so her husband doesn’t even care what she does. The husband is offshore on a fishing trip with friends. He wasn’t a suspect in the kidnapping and so once again the FBI took a look at Charlotte. Charlotte had been shown on ATM camera hiding from a guy.
The guy was identified as Grant King and he was shown at the same coffee house that Charlotte used to hide from him. But the coffee house isn’t a coffee house. It’s a secret sex club. Maggie and OA went there looking for Grant and they were later able to arrest him. Grant knew Charlotte. Just not by that name. He said she goes by the name “Astrid” and that she has a hunter fantasy.
Charlotte apparently likes to pretend that she’s been stalked by someone because it turns her on. She then takes the guy back to her secret apartment in the city and she sleeps with him. Grant pointed the FBI to the secret apartment. The secret apartment has recently been ransacked and thankfully there were cameras. The camera picked up a white male breaking into the apartment, but he made sure to hide his face from the cameras and no outside cameras were able to catch him. this break-in happened a mere few hours before Charlotte was kidnapped. Charlotte’s husband was asked about her secret life and he had no idea. He never knew his wife was cheating too. He also didn’t recognize the man’s build from the security cameras.
They asked the husband if there was anyone in Charlotte’s life that might have stood out. The only person who did had been a stranger. Alex mentioned that he and Charlotte had their anniversary dinner at the restaurant they always used and that a guy at a next table had scared Charlotte. The FBI went to the restaurant. They found out the person who booked the table used the name Wallingford.
Charlotte is originally from a town called Wallingford. It seems she has a real life stalker and that the stalker knows her. Not just her persona. The FBI couldn’t get the guy’s real name. They did on the other hand trace him back to an apartment he used and unfortunately he had already cleared out. And so it’s a good thing he left things behind, like a body for instance.
The body wasn’t Charlotte. It belonged to Brenda Mason. She was reported missing a while back and no one had ever found her until now. Brenda was killed a month ago. She was a member of the sex club and so her killer was using the club as a hunting ground. He finds attractive women. He kidnaps them. he holds them in a room he goes out of his way to decorate. The room was decorated with items that Charlotte’s secret apartment had been missing and there was a notebook left behind. The notebook asked Charlotte about her favorite things. It even asked her to describe her perfect day. Her stalker was holding onto her under the wrong impression that he could woo her if he gets to know her better and the moment he realizes that she doesn’t love him – he’ll kill her.
Like he did Brenda. The killer becomes obsessed with these women and he was able to hide what he did to Brenda by posting a false social media post claiming she was visiting Vietnam. It bought him time. But he didn’t have that with Charlotte. Charlotte wasn’t a single woman living alone. She had a husband and the husband noticed that she was missing much too soon for her stalker. The stalker was identified as Andrew Fraiser. Frasier is going to keep hurting women if the FBI didn’t stop him and so they tried to find him. They got close when suddenly he took a hostage and was able to use that long enough to escape. And so the FBI just knew he was in the Catskills area, they just didn’t know where.
The FBI went back to Alex. They asked him if there was any place special in the area for Charlotte because her stalker would want to take her to a place where she felt comfortable and so Alex mentioned an inn in the area that he visited with Charlotte. Its where he proposed to her. The FBI later found Fraiser holding Charlotte at that inn and OA was able to talk him down before anyone got hurt. Fraiser gave up Charlotte. He then tried to take his own life and OA stopped him. Fraiser was arrested. Charlotte was later reunited with her husband and maybe now they’ll start being honest with each other.
OA also realized that he loves his job. He told his girlfriend Mona that he wasn’t going to quit or go into private security because he loves his job and he doesn’t want to leave it. Not even for her.
THE END!
