The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) life will be at stake as she goes up against vengeful Jordan (Colleen Zenk), who’ll arrange a meeting at a rundown cabin.
Nikki won’t tell her family where she’s going or what she’s up to, so that’ll add to the danger as she prepares to trade herself for Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).
Jordan took Claire from the psychiatric wing of the hospital and claims Nikki has to surrender if she wants to reunite Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) with her daughter.
Even in Nikki’s drunken state, she knows she has to try to get Claire back for Victoria’s sake.
However, Y&R spoilers say Jordan will aim a gun at Nikki the moment she walks through the cabin doorway.
Jordan will presumably plan to pump a bullet in Nikki, but could someone else take that bullet instead?
It seems like Nikki’s going to need a hero – and there’s no word yet on where Claire will be when all this goes down.
If Jordan has Claire restrained somewhere close, Claire might free herself and barge in for a rescue.
It’d be an excellent twist if Claire was the one to save Nikki from a grim fate, especially since Claire played such a huge role in Jordan’s original plot to torment her.
Maybe Claire could get a heroic moment now and be the reason Nikki survives instead of perishes at Jordan’s hands.
It’s easy to imagine Claire diving in front of Jordan’s gun – or perhaps she could get into a struggle with her great-aunt that results in the gun going off.
Either way, Claire might be willing to sacrifice her own life to save Nikki from Jordan.
Of course, Hayley Erin is on contract and seems poised to be around for a long-term storyline.
Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) is sticking around as well, so all signs point to the show keeping Claire alive and playing out the full drama of all this.
Even so, Claire could at least prove she’s willing to sacrifice herself for Nikki – and that’d go a long way to redeeming her in the Newmans’ eyes!
If Claire does get seriously injured to keep Nikki out of harm’s way, then she can recover in the hospital and take the first step toward becoming an accepted Newman.
