Tom Smothers is an American Comedian, Composer, musician, and actor who gained prominence as a member of the musical comedy group the Smothers Brothers. Tom found the group with his younger brother Dick because he failed to venture into professional music. Since he had an outrageous sense of humor, they two started combining comedy with their acts.
He was many things at different times. He was an athlete and a gymnast during his high school and college days. Later on, he wanted to join folk music but felt he wasn’t perfect at it, an act that gave birth to their comedy group.
