The rapper-turned-designer’s debut collection with Adidas Originals hit stores across the globe on Thursday and fans went crazy for it. We all got a first look at the Kanye West and Adidas Yeezy Season 1 collab when it was unveiled at New York Fashion Week in February.
The line is inspired by West’s own personal style which is minimalistic street style in neutral tones like camel, olive, chocolate brown, grey and cranberry and also camouflage print which Kanye himself is a huge fan of.
For men, you can get oversized sweaters, bomber jackets, camouflage parkas and military jumpers as well as a range of unisex items such as crew neck sweaters, thermal tees and sweatpants.
On Wednesday night in New York, fans queued outside Barney’s on Madison Avenue in the pouring rain to get a wristband to let them queue again on Thursday. One fan said “If Kanye blesses something then it sells out. These clothes are a blessing to me.” Another fan said ”You just have to queue up for these things. That’s the way it is.”
In a recent interview Kanye said “I chose to partner with Adidas because, as you will experience today, Adidas is a brand that enables creators to create,”
The collection is only available in a number of stores in the UK so as you’d expect from anything Kanye touches, these won’t be around for long so get in there quickly before it sells out.
